ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Collect team rosters and other applicable information and be set up before the game’s first pitch.

• Keep a detailed scorecard of the game, focusing on every pitch and play.

• Make and announce all game decisions involving judgment calls, clarifying scoring rules interpretation to club and media personnel when necessary.

• Approve the official box score transmitted to the league statistician post-game.

• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience scoring baseball games at the professional or amateur level is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional and demonstrable knowledge of baseball rules.

• Ability to demonstrate good judgment on applicable plays requiring decisions.

• Available to score up to 25+ games for the season.

• Ability to adapt and keep pace with an active Press Box environment.

• Strong communication skills preferred.

• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.
