Overview

The Director of Finance-East Coast will be responsible for training, development, and driving performance of Accounting Managers, or General Managers in OVG Hospitality managed facilities. They will be responsible for training staff to complete, accurate and timely completion of client monthly financial statements.

 

This role will pay a salary of $90,000 to $110,000.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the transition of new facilities to OVG Hospitality
  • Trains new Director of Finance and Accounting Managers in financial processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Have the ability to “step in” and perform any of the duties by a vacant finance position, as needed. This would include month end close, AR, AP, Cash Receipts, etc.
  • Monitors venue management compliance with management contract.
  • Assists Directors of Finance and General Managers with any financial reporting issues, challenges or questions.
  • Safeguard company assets through conducting internal audits in managed venues.
  • Identify financial reporting process improvements, recommend process enhancements and implement process enhancements. Follow up with compliance to internal audits.
  • Provide reporting to regional operations leadership on an as needed basis as well as setting up report cadences for KPIs.
  • Other projects as assigned.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles, standards and practices.
  • High level of proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications Experience with Sage 100, Biznet, ADP a plus.   Extensive experience in Excel preparing spreadsheets and reports.
  • Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy and validity.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing, environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse spectrum of individuals calmly, professionally, supportively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to delegate tasks efficiently and develop staff to next level.
  • Ability to adhere to highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Ability to execute solid management decisions quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays), as frequently required by event or business necessity.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts.
  • Assist with budget process, review and upload to Sage.
  • Have excellent training and mentoring skills using a variety of styles and methods.
  • Must be accomplished in technology to host webinars and other online training.
  • Have the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Be skilled at self-management to work autonomously with minimal direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with course work in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 10years accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities..
  • Demonstrated successful training of others.
