Overview
The Art Director, Business Development is responsible for providing creative and graphic support for the business development efforts of OVG360 including OVG Hospitality. The Art Director is a hands-on designer with the ability to create professional final products with significant attention to detail. The Art Director will also support a team of project managers through the development of functional templates and corresponding instructions so that all members of the sales support department are equipped to develop draft materials consistent with departmental brand standards. Success in the role requires a self-starter mentality and the ability to independently manage projects from start to finish while continually identifying opportunities to improve processes. This individual will bring a thoughtful, team-oriented mentality to support multiple salespeople and project managers. The business development department embodies OVG’s commitment to be a positive disruption to business as usual in the sports and live entertainment industry and the Art Director will be a driving force in visualizing this message for the team. The Art Director will use their exceptional experience and ability to interact with all members of the department to instill a culture of confidence and precision in design.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):
- Create original artwork with various mediums to graphically support a request or idea
- Develop and implement templates and standards for business development sales materials including (but not limited to) RFP responses, PowerPoints, brochures, and video content; work with team to continuously advance our business development’s approach to the proposal in design and delivery methods
- Customize each new business proposal to prospective client by creating a custom menus, concepts, renderings, and marketing materials; provide review and support to finalize the design/layout of all submission materials
- Actively participate in team brainstorms to come up with new ideas
- Research trends in the industry and be knowledgeable of what other companies in the industry are doing to surpass their latest efforts
- Work with renderers (when applicable) to make sure the vision is understood and provide feedback to help them create renderings that surpass expectations
- Follow OVG brand standards when developing corporate marketing materials
- Be a source of knowledge regarding design and design programs
- Work with other graphic designer(s) to make sure company image is staying consistent and current
- Manage workload to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a high-level of work
- Prepare files appropriately for print and communicate with printers effectively to get desired results
- Manage design project from concept to creation and printing to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are achieved

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 8+ years of experience working as a Graphic Designer
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and ability to use the principals of design effectively
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Ability to research new technologies and trends that benefit proficiency, productivity, and creative development for the department
- Ability to problem-solve and find solutions to new ideas or situations that arise
- Understanding of printing methods, and knowledge of preparing files for print and printers expectations
- Knowledge of a wide range of file types and when they should be used in the appropriate situation
- Knowledge of Pantone, CMYK, and RGB, and situations of when to use each
- Knowledge of digital design with animation and video skills required
- Proficiency with color; their relationships and effects on one another, as well as the psychological effects they evoke
