About Acrisure Arena:
America’s hottest music festival destination is finally getting the world-class arena it deserves.  Opening in the Fall of 2022, the Acrisure Arena will provide the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California with a premiere 11,500+ seat venue to host the biggest artists and acts on the planet. Designed specifically for hockey and concerts, the new arena will provide top-tier hospitality, artist amenities, and all of the benefits of a modern music and sports venue.  In addition, the facility will serve as the new home of the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken. 
Acrisure Arena is a $300+ million project that is being 100% privately funded through outstanding partners Oak View Group, Live Nation, and the NHL Seattle.

On January 25, 2020, the AHL granted the 32nd AHL franchise to Oak View Group (OVG). As the newest addition to the Pacific Division in the Western Conference, this team continues to prepare for its first puck drop in the 22-23 AHL season. In addition to the development of a new state of the art facility (Acrisure Arena) OVG is consecutively building their front office headquarters and training facility adjacent to the Arena, with one NHL regulation rink. This development represents not only further investment in making Coachella Valley the epicenter of Southern California but establishing a new skating presence within the region for the first time. 

Position Summary
We are currently hiring our Vice President, Event Services. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of Acrisure Arena events including hockey, concerts, family shows and special events. This position will lead the coloration of all activities and will support the logistical and functional needs of the Firebirds, promoters, internal departments, and service providers. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong aptitude for project management, leadership, effective communication, and possesses a true passion for delivering unparalleled guest service. The candidate will also be a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working as part of a team, and jumping between disciplines to achieve goals. The goal is to ensure we become and remain the industry standard for excellence and ensure all of our guests and staff exceptional experiences.

 While you are here, you will:
  • Manages the planning, budgeting, and coordination of event operations before, during, and after assigned events for approximately 150 events annually. 
  • Determines all logistical needs and communicates and coordinates necessary services for the Event Security, Guest Services, Ticket Taking & Ushering, Parking, Food & Beverage, Box Office, Concert Merchandise, and Housekeeping Departments. 
  • Communicates and disseminates event related information to appropriate departments, vendors and others to ensure necessary levels of staffing coverage and overall event understanding. 
  • Prepares event estimates and budgets and ensures event expenses are submitted for each event assigned. 
  • Liaises with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, event production, concert and special event promoters, for all game night and concert/special event related coordination. 
  • Supports internal departments including ticket sales, marketing, sponsorship, and game entertainment in the execution of game and event night concourse and arena activations. 
  • Manages production staff during events. 
  • Creates and assists in the development of event policies and procedures 
  • Monitors adherence from all departments on an on-going basis to establish high levels of 
  • service. 
  • Ensures the highest levels of service by identifying and communicating solutions to service 
  • challenges and opportunities to Arena Management and leadership. 
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with clients, partners and all 
  • stakeholders. 
  • Provides post event reports and recaps of event night incidents to identify trends and make 
  • recommendations for operational improvements and efficiencies. 
  • Develops and maintains event files for all assigned events. 
  • Oversight of production staffing as required. 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships. 

  • Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college or university in public assembly facility management, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10 + years’ experience in large sports and/or music entertainment management and production. 
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a management position with supervisory and decision-making 
  • responsibility. 
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and 
  • communicate new ideas and concepts. 
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Exceptional experience in leading, motivating and developing employees. 
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first. 
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator. 
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of equipment safety, facility maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
