Position Overview: The Television Production intern will assist with the production of in-arena shows for Monumental Sports Network.  This is a paid internship.
  • Gain valuable industry experience by assisting producers and editors with content production for Monumental Sports Network’s original programming and the Capitals, Wizards and Mystics in-arena shows. 
  • Learn broadcast video standards through a hands-on environment.
  • Accompany and engage with videographers on location in the field.
  • Opportunity to see and participate in daily television production operations for three professional sports teams (Capitals, Wizards & Mystics).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student..
  • Submit link to video reel or example of work.
  • Basic knowledge of video camera setup and operation.
  • Basic knowledge of non-linear editing principles.
  • Knowledge of Premier preferred but not required.
  • Strong storytelling skills with a background in news or documentary a plus.
  • Working comprehension of basketball & hockey and an interest in sports.
  • Experience in live-production and control room setting preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and within a team.
  • Must have positive attitude, motivated mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment.
  • Reliable transportation and housing
