Our Exciting Work Environment:

This position will be located at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. Oriole Park at Camden Yards is the home of Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles.

 Delaware North Sportservice at Oriole Park at Camden Yards also offers upscale dining and services in premium seating, including suites and club seating areas, as well as providing retail merchandise in our Team Store on Eutaw Street, and our stores and kiosks throughout the 48,565+ seat ballpark.

 Position Summary:

Intern reports to the Retail Management Team and assists in all pre/post event back of house duties. Assists in operation of assigned Retail locations, supervises Retail Associates and Novelty/Retail Vendors, in accordance with the Company's GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

 Essential Functions:

 Supervises retail associates; completes store operational needs by assigning employees and following up on work results.

Trains to, and maintains retail standards, policies and procedures.
Opens and closes retail locations as directed by management.
Assists retail management with the daily cash procedures and operations.
Monitors store floor, assist with guests needs and requests.
Regularly evaluates, creates, and maintains professional visual displays; provides direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
Ensures integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail shops.
Performs duties as assigned.

 Non-Essential Functions:

Performs retail cashier duties when needed.
Assists management in recruiting, interviewing and selecting retail associates.

 Education & Experience:

Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising and/or previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Previous cash handling experience required.
Previous experience working with point of sale (POS) system preferred.
High school Diploma or GED required.
Previous cash handling/cashier experience required.
Previous experience with Excel or similar database management computer system required.
High school education or GED required and currently enrolled in a college program related.
Retail Management or Business degree preferred.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to GuestPath’s Universal Service Standards.
Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training.
Knowledgeable in the operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues.
Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written stand reports after each event.
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
Highly motivated, ability to take initiative.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Willingness to aggressively sell assigned items.

 Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, throughout entire facility, for entire length of shift.
Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.

 Environmental Working Conditions:

May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme heat and cold, depending on season.

  This is a part-time, seasonal position. Looking for candidates at least 18 years of age, willing and able to work most home games (for schedule, go to: https://www.mlb.com/orioles/schedule/printable-schedule); report time for work may vary basis on shift. Availability: Must be able to work the majority of home events: including-nights, days, weekends and holidays.
