Communications/Community Relations: Head of Web/Media Content
Job Description:
The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the team’s digital, social, and media plans.  This person will develop content for all platforms and be responsible for generating new lines of revenue through digital assets. They will help build the team’s brand in the market and find ways to keep PR efforts and social media efforts consistent and timely.  They will maintain the team’s website and work with ticket sales and sponsorship to ensure consistent promotion across all platforms. They will generate leads through online ads and promotions and find ways to reach new audiences through email and social campaigns. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as main point of contact for the team on digital and social strategy 
  • Set digital strategic direction focused on platform growth and incremental revenue
  • Update website content with static and video content
  • Create content and strategy plan for social engagement
  • Monitor team social pages from a customer service standpoint
  • Manage all team social media channels including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat and YouTube.
  • Manage digital content and publishing for team website including news, headlines, images, video, links, highlights etc. including the creation of a content schedule and strategy for increased engagement
  • Review, analyze, forecast, manage and provide reporting on the digital sales assets and media assets
  • Provide digital advertising thought-leadership by staying current with new advertising trends, mandates and best practices. 
  • Integrate Social strategy with PR strategy so we are in the market at the right time with the right stories 
  • Work with internal PR teams to pitch stories and publicize team happenings
  • Promote and utilize team events and community efforts to grow the brand in the market 
  • Tie community initiatives into the overall social and PR plan of the team
  • Activate team sponsorships through all social and digital platforms and publicity efforts
  • Find new sponsorship opportunities through team’s digital assets
