Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Comcast Spectacor is a professional sports and live entertainment company that is part of Comcast Corporation, a global media and technology leader that operates Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal and Sky. Headquartered in Philadelphia. Comcast Spectacor owns and operates the Wells Fargo Center arena and complex, as well as a portfolio of professional sports teams that includes the National Hockey League’s Philadelphia Flyers, the National Lacrosse League’s Philadelphia Wings and the Maine Mariners of the ECHL. Comcast Spectacor also holds strategic interest in several partner companies spanning the sports and entertainment landscape, including T1 Entertainment & Sports, Xfinity Live! Philadelphia and Nerd Street Gamers.
We are seeking an Account Executive of Corporate Partnerships with a primary focus on growing the Corporate Partnership portfolio through the establishment of partnerships with new brands. This role will specifically focus on growing partnership revenue supporting Spectacor Events and Entertainment, the Philadelphia Wings, and Flyers Charities, but will also support growth of the Corporate Partnership portfolio for the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center.
  • Drive sales activity on priority inventory through research, prospecting, meetings, networking events, trade shows, etc. 
  • Effectively prospect and connect with decision makers to present new business opportunities
  • Understand the marketing objectives of prospective clients and their agencies, and determine how a sponsorship can help them achieve their goals 
  • Provide evaluation of progress against set goals; reporting may include call/meeting report, prospect list, and other sales related information 
  • Work closely with the Partnership Strategy & Operations and other related parties such as Spectacor Events and Entertainment, Philadelphia Wings, and Flyers Charities to develop and execute professional sales presentations, which convey a unique proposition tailored to meet prospect goals
  • Communicate with Partnership Activation department to ensure proper fulfillment of partnership contracts to maintain current status of all proposals, presentations, and contract preparation 
  • Provide input during strategic sessions to uncover new opportunities, enhancement of sponsorship inventory, and sales collaterals

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience, preferably in sports/entertainment, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous business relationships in a professional manner
  • Superior time management skills and presentation skills
  • Must possess attention to detail, organization and ability to listen
  • Must be professionally aggressive, competitive, and possess a dedicated attitude
  • Must be highly motivated and positive with strong aspirations to be successful
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours
