Human Resources: Human Resources Generalist
Comcast Spectacor is a professional sports and live entertainment company that is part of Comcast Corporation. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Comcast Spectacor owns and operates the Wells Fargo Center arena and complex, as well as a portfolio of professional sports teams that includes the National Hockey League’s Philadelphia Flyers, the Overwatch League’s Philadelphia Fusion, the National Lacrosse League’s Philadelphia Wings and the Maine Mariners of the ECHL
The Human Resources Department of Comcast Spectacor is currently seeking an HR Manager to serve as HR Business Partner to our diverse group of internal clients.  Responsible for partnering with client organizations and the Human Resources team to ensure strategies and initiatives are met. Coordinates recruitment, compliance, benefits, compensation and employee relations activities to maximize employee resources. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Counsels, orientates, and trains managers and supervisors on the interpretation and administration of Human Resources policies. Administers Human Resources policies and procedures as they pertain to all employees.
  • Works closely with Payroll to investigate and troubleshoot any issues related to employee pay.
  • Develops and maintains employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manages the annual employee survey process and subsequent readouts.
  • Handles the onboarding and offboarding of all full-time employees. 
  • Ensures compliance with state, local and federal guidelines and policies to protect the business and its employees.
  • Partners with management to ensure HR policies and programs are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Manages the annual performance management process.
  • Oversees, handles and manages employee relations issues. 
  • Partners with management to ensure strategic HR goals, policies and programs are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to maintain efficient and effective services.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Workday a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
