POSITION: Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
FLSA STATUS: Salaried/Non-Exempt

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist coordinates and prepares payroll for all employees in compliance with all local, state and federal guidelines along with all ASM Global policies and procedures AND processes all account payable invoices and general ledger coding and distributions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Payable Functions
Process all account payable invoices
Code all AP invoices per General Ledger Distributions
Prepare disbursement checks for signature and vendor distribution
Maintain all customer and vendor files, respond to inquiries, and/or research discrepancies
Process expense reports
Process 1099 annually

Payroll Functions:

Process facility payroll using ADP payroll software
Process all wage garnishments, deductions, and payments for applicable employees
Calculate vacation, sick and personal payment requests
Prepare payroll adjustments
Prepare manual checks, maintain accurate check logs and ADP postings
Prepare various months union dues and benefit reports
Communicate with employees regarding payroll questions or problems
Prepare all state and local wage reporting forms accurately

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate Degree or higher from a 2-year college or university, 2 years CURRENT experience in AP with relative Payroll experience
Associate degree or higher in accounting, business or finance
Must have current Account Payable Experience
Experience with ADP payroll software and ETIME a plus
Expertise in all word programs including Word, EXCEL, Outlook, etc.
Detail oriented and organization required
