The Professional Group, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities is seeking potential candidates for a Venue Cleaning Manager position supporting our operations at Little Caesars Arena for the District Detroit. This position will direct and coordinate personnel and daily activities involved in the successful execution of events hospitality by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Directs, supervises and schedules all aspects of Operations, Including Building maintenance, housekeeping, risk management, and works cooperatively with the operations of the client/team company to assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.
·         Manages subordinate supervisors who oversee employees in various functions. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving employee problems.
·         Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules and monitors repair activity to minimize downtime and inconvenience to facility event activity, house contractors, and tenants.
·         Assists in facility efforts for compliance with OSHA, safety and emergency policies and procedures including Safety Committee and training programs.
·         Monitors and administers company and client policy and procedure requirements and maintains facility rules of conduct.
·         Coordinates operational activities with other departments to assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events, along with providing clear,  concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
·         Directly supervises multiple building service worker(s), Shift Supervisors, and Assistant Shift Managers.
·        Works extended and /or irregular hours including nights, weekend and holidays, as needed based on event schedules.
·         Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred;
·         6-8 years related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a Supervisory or Management position, or equivalent combination of education and experience
·         Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills required
·         Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
·         Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise, train and motivate employees
·         Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on excel.
·         Knowledge of Novatime timekeeping software helpful
