Position Title:             Food & Beverage Manager
Department:                          Food & Beverage
Reports To:                            Executive Director
Classification:                        Full-time, Exempt
 
Position Description:             Oversees all aspects of banquets, concessions, and bars.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintains all carts, markets, bars, and catering equipment.  Ensures that all are stored properly.
  • Staffs all carts, markets, bars, and banquets with competent employees.
  • Ensures that all opening and closing procedures are maintained and followed by staff.
  • Ensures that storerooms are kept neat and clean from debris.
  • Maintains proper inventory of equipment and product.
  • Orders standard use product as needed by event.
  • Performs inventory as directed.
  • Forecasts concession sales and labor dollars.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Experience/Training/Education:    
Required:                    Five years experience in a management level position in Food & Beverage, Banquets and Catering.
License/Certificate:
Valid California Driver’s License
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
Knowledge of: Excel and Word
Ability to:
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Plan and organize
Be detail oriented
Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday
Skill to:
Operate modern office equipment including computer, fax, phone, and copy machine
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires standing, walking, bending and stooping throughout the workday
as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.
