Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium, located in Las Vegas, NV, will be the future home of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League and the UNLV Rebels of the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision. The 65,000 seat, 1.75 million square foot, state of the art domed stadium will also host many world-class sporting and entertainment events, including the 2020 and 2021 Pac-12 Football Championship, and will serve as the annual site of the Las Vegas Bowl. The stadium will also host large trade and corporate shows, public gatherings, private events, and a robust tour program.

Job Summary
The Vice President of Events is responsible for the overall management, communication, and production of all event operations. This position will oversee the events department(s) as it relates to direction, leadership, and management, as well as tenant and client relations.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for overall management, communication and production of event operations.
  • Manage and oversee events and guest services departments.
  • Direct and lead cultivation of relationships with tenants, clients and promoters.
  • Supervise the delegation, coordination, planning, management and logistics of all aspects of events.
  • Provide on-site supervision of events, and lead company execution on event day.
  • Ensure proper partnerships with vendors and promoters to maintain sufficient staffing levels for events.
  • Effectively manage event departments, by providing necessary leadership, training, support and guidance. Empower supervisory team to lead, coach, mentor, and discipline personnel necessary.
  • Partner with executive team to develop, implement, and manage strategic planning as it relates to vendor/ client management, budgets, and policy/procedures for event related functions.
  • Manage event staff and coordinate event production.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and company policies/procedures are maintained.
  • Prepare and maintain event budgets as needed.
  • Manage season game operations budgets for tenants.
  • Compile and communicate all event requirements to various departments. Direct and delegate necessary responsibilities within the venue's departments
  • Ensure detailed production notes for each event are compiled and disseminated.
  • Approve event invoices for payment, making sure they are captured in settlement, and approve/submit to the Finance Department.
  • Oversee long-term staff training and education (e.g., membership organizations, distribution of trade publications, on or off-site training, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum education level of BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
  • Previous senior leadership experience and experience managing event staff.
  • Experience reading, understanding, and implementing artist riders.
  • Ability to serve as a proactive and decisive leader with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to manage, lead, develop, and hold department staff accountable.
  • Ability to manage activities within functional area and make independent decisions using sound judgment.
  • Highly developed and disciplined work ethic, sense of accountability and ability to follow-through.
  • Ability to work evenings, multiple shifts, long hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to move quickly throughout complex, bend, crouch, kneel, etc.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of sports and live entertainment industries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to learn required business systems.
