Due to exciting growth, inspiresport is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager in the United States to join our expanding team and lead our Rugby growth. This position will require the successful candidate to drive sales and revenue growth through relationship building, outbound phone calls, in-person meetings, presentations, and client events while executing our sales strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing key relationships within the Rugby landscape across youth, high school, college, and professional levels. The position requires a creative and results-oriented individual who thrives in a role that requires a high degree of independence, self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurship.
This is a varied & hands on role, as our new Business Development Manager you will:
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual individual performance goals
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
- Collaborate effectively with department leaders and company leadership
- Review, manage and grow the current database in your region
- Constantly review and grow your sales pipeline to renew and win new business
- Make outbound phone calls to set up meetings with qualified leads
- Generate leads and close business for international soccer travel & programming
- Travel to meetings, presentations, conventions, and conferences
- Create formal presentations to present to potential clients
- Maintain and monitor all progress, contacts, and personal sales activity
- Main and monitor close communication with clients while traveling
- Attend weekly, monthly, and annual sales meetings
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and prospects
- Support marketing initiatives and requested sales initiatives
- Collaborate closely with marketing and operations for successful trip execution
- Work with Operations to ensure trip details are accurate
- Work consistently in our CRM maintaining accurate and up to date records
- Create and customize quotes and itineraries
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
- Have general knowledge of the sport of Rugby and the Rugby landscape (youth, HS, college, pro)
- Have extensive B2B and B2C sales experience
- Possess a passion for the sport of Rugby and for sales
- Be a self-starter with the ability to adapt and multi-task
- Have strong experience working daily within a CRM.
- Have a proven track record of sales and developing new business
- Possess excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Have excellent time management and organization skills.
- Have the ability to travel domestically
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Coachable, goal-oriented and a team player
- Ability to work remotely, take initiative and solve problems
- Knowledge of international travel is highly advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

- Able to work independently and with a team
