Job Description

When you accept a position with Volo, you’ll be joining a passionate, driven group of innovators within the social sports industry. Hosts serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.

Venue Supervisor responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Set up their assigned venue across all products & sports including:
    • Equipment 
    • Shirts
    • Check-in 
    • Music
    • Lights 
    • Name tags
    • Check-in station
  • Maintain equipment for assigned sports including ordering replacements, noting damages, and reporting to the market’s equipment lead
  • Maintain fields as needed based on weather, location, and sport-specific requirements
  • Set up & take down fields and gather up equipment
  • Use host app to check in players as needed 
  • Supervise on field hosts & refs as needed 
  • Resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency
  • Anticipate and provide proactive solutions to prevent problems from arising in the future
  • First line of escalation for on field questions & issues 
  • Support training in your market for assigned sport(s) to the part-time hosts as well as all internal referees
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and ensuring quality staff and product 
  • Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Execute fundraising activities with the support of league hosts
  • Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league
  • Must be available at least 5 days a week for at least eight weeks
    • Weekday availability from 5:45pm-10:30pm 
    • Weekend availability falls between 9am - 7pm

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Works well in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
  • Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
  • Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Proficient customer service skills
  • High School Diploma /GED Equivalency
