JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Department: Lexington Sporting Club department & USL Super League
Hours of work: Weekly office responsibilities | Weekdays, evenings, and weekend work in line with training, matchday requirements.
Contractual Status: Full-time & resides in Lexington, KY. 
Salary Range: Competitive – dependent on experience and qualifications.
Working Conditions: Normal equipment room, field, and office environment. 
Reporting to: Women’s First Team Head Coach and the Player Management & Operations. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

As part of the Lexington Sporting Club’s strategy, there is a clear commitment in resources and support to provide the best possible chance for success for our Women’s First Team. LSC is looking to appoint an Equipment Manager who will work to support the day-to-day operations of the women’s program and one that will assist in this team gaining results. 
The Women’s Equipment Manager is responsible for the overall equipment process of the Women’s professional soccer program. This position will manage all kit requirements for the Super League and W League women’s sides. This will include players and staff. They will work closely with the Player Management & Operations person to ensure everyone has everything they need. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work directly with the Head Coach, Coaching Staff and Player Management & Operations to coordinate team needs.
  • Organize and distribute player, coach, and staff apparel and equipment.
  • Fulfill individual player requirements and needs.
  • Coordinate coaching, medical, and fitness staff requirements for games, training, and travel.
  • Plan and maintain inventory of all game, training, and travel apparel and training equipment.
  • Work directly with USL to ensure all safety guidelines regarding equipment and weather are met.
  • Maintain occupied training space and facilities.
  • Assist Player Management & Operations with the coordination of player and staff travel and transportation.
  • Travel to team away matches and serve as visiting team liaison when necessary.
  • Coordinate all purchases and team merchandise requests with internal merchandise team.
  • Coordinate the set-up of home locker room.
  • Fulfill the needs and requirements of the coaching staff, players, and training staff.
  • Ensure USL rules and regulations regarding equipment appearance and availability are met.
  • Ensure all USL equipment and reporting rules and regulations are met for both home and road matches.
  • Ensure the proper application of transfers for both game and training apparel to meet all USL and sponsorship requirements.
  • Adhere to assigned program budget. 
  • Attend all Lexington Sporting Club meetings/zooms/calls to ensure appropriate departmental communication, planning, and updates when required. 
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties that may arise or be assigned by the Women’s Sporting Director and/or senior management staff.
  • To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires.

  • Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organization as and when required to promote best practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience working in at a national level environment, a professional environment, soccer academy, collegiate, or elite youth club preferred. 
  • Highly skilled communicator.
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements.
  • Ability to relocate to Lexington, KY.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other operating platforms.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to ask questions, give input, accept advice, and take direction.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible days/hours of work.
  • Ability to travel.
