Job Description

Lancaster Inferno is seeking a reliable Statistician Intern for their upcoming season which takes place from May-July 2024.

This is a part time seasonal position – Must be available for all home games (or coordinate attendance if more than one statistician) between May-July. A total of 12-14 games, including regular season and potential playoff games. Most games take place on the weekends, but other games may occur during the week.

Duties and Responsibilities

Obtain Rosters from Home & Visiting Teams
Fill out Stats Paperwork
Pay attention during the games and mark each player’s performance
May include:
- Time In/Out of Match
- Substitutions
- Goals
- Assists
- Goalkeeper Saves
- Fouls
- Corner Kicks
- Free Kicks
- Penalty Kicks
After matches, work with referees and coaches to have paperwork signed
Enter stats in league system after matches
Assist in game-day setup & teardown
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Ability to pass comprehensive background check. Attend and pass SafeSport training.
Ability to physically perform functions listed. May require heavy lifting at times.
Ability to give and follow instructions.
Strong soccer knowledge.
Enthusiasm for the team, sports, and women's soccer.
Possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license and maintain legally required insurance or have reliable transportation to get to work.
Prior statistician experience is a plus.

About Lancaster Inferno

Founded in 2008, Lancaster Inferno fields a women's pre-professional soccer team that competes in the USL W League. The First Team roster is composed of players who want to pursue their professional aspirations and features current/post college players and former professionals.
