Background:
Hartford Athletic is a United Soccer League (“USL”) Championship club that plays its home matches at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford, CT. Our mission is to make our community the best place to live, work, and play.
  
Position Summary: 
Hartford Athletic is seeking motivated Ticket Sales & Service Interns looking to learn and grow within the sports and entertainment industry. Ticket Sales & Service Interns will report to the Vice President, Sports and Entertainment Sales and are responsible for assisting the Integrated Sales team on all aspects of club operations including ticket sales, fan experiences, and customer relations. The position will include day-to-day management of the sales process including prospecting through cold calls, email, and meetings, participating in community events, as well as customer service. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the sport of soccer, an interest in sports and entertainment ticket sales, and a desire to communicate with current ticket holders and prospective leads daily.
  
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with sale of season tickets, premium seats, group tickets, and other ticket offerings through cold calls, meetings as well as emails.
  • Participate in grassroots events and other community initiatives.
  • Assist Ticket Sales staff to achieve overall ticket sales goals for Hartford Athletic.
  • Assist in the processing, printing and distribution of season, group, and single match tickets.
  • Support Integrated Sales staff during home matches with ticket operations and fan experiences.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the department (i.e. – data entry, updating spreadsheets, filing, faxing, general office work).
  • Attend community engagement events.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Club.
  
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and strong interest in sports, in addition to sales.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft suite of products.
  • Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.
 
Requirements: 
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for college credit, otherwise must be a volunteer.
  • Available to work 15-25 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and match days.
