Role: Equipment Intern
Location: In Person. Non-Remote.
Reports to: Equipment Manager & Director Of Soccer Operations
This position is non-paid. College Credit available.
Misc: An applicant must either attend a North Carolina school or be a permanent North Carolina resident attending a school out of state. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Interns may work a maximum of 24 hours per week.
Position Summary:
As Equipment Intern for Carolina Core FC, you are responsible for assisting in daily equipment/gear set-up and breakdown for all training, matches, locker room and any equipment areas for Carolina Core FC both home and away. Assists in the purchasing, storing, repair, and replacement of all team equipment as well as transportation and inventory. This position will work out of Truist Point Stadium.
Responsibilities include but not limited to assisting with:
Manage Equipment Inventory
-         Coaches with all in-market training session needs.
-         Daily laundry operations including before and after matches.
-         E.M. with kit and other inventory ordering.
-         Pre-season receiving, inventory and organizing of all kit and equipment. 
-         Preparation of new training/match uniforms, including heat press logos/crests/patches/badges.
-         All training complex equipment rooms.
-         All locker/dressing room(s).
-         Monitoring of training complex organization, tidiness, and cleanliness 
-         Temporary training/equipment inventory and setup at Truist Point Stadium
-         Manage transport, inventory and organizing of all kit and equipment in move from Truist Point Stadium to training complex.
Lead and coordinate all team equipment travel logistics.
-         Pack, transport and set up all team equipment for away matches
-         Assist coaches with any out of market training sessions.
Matchday
-         All matchday activities including assisting with warm up’s and in-match/halftime needs of players and technical staff.
-         Away team with requests when visiting team in-market including, training and additional needs as and when requested/required.

-         Enthusiastic about soccer, former playing experience a plus.
-         Enthusiastic and initiative-taking attitude.

-         High work ethic, with an ability to work both independently and part of a wider team.
-         Collaborative in nature, with an efficient and effective communication style.
-         Enthusiastic about building from the ground up.
-         Analytical person / solution oriented.
-         MLS, USL and/or NWSL experience and/or knowledge of the Triad/Core area is a plus.
-         Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
-         Prolonged periods of standing and walking long distance.
-         Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
-         Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
