Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading a team of sales managers and representatives focused on generating revenue through the sale of ticket inventory for both the current Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale Stadium and Miami Freedom Park. It includes the development and execution of a sales plan focused on maximizing revenue for the organization through groups, season ticket, partial plan and single game tickets. The Director will lead both mangers and a dedicated sales team directly in order to achieve organizational sales and revenue goals.   

The Director of Sales combines both department leadership responsibilities with direct high-level sales engagement for both the current Chase Stadium (Ft. Lauderdale) and the future Miami Freedom Park (Miami). Leading a high-performing sales team in driving revenue through the sale of seating inventory while also personally contributing to sales targets.

In addition to driving sales and team development, this position will be instrumental in leading strategic efforts to maximize revenue and enhance the overall seating experiences for members. This includes developing leading-edge products, offerings, and experiences that resonate with our target audience and differentiate us in the marketplace. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify market trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive revenue growth. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the Vice President to develop and execute strategic sales plans that contribute to the overall success of Inter Miami CF. 

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop ticket sales strategies and campaigns to maximize the sales of season ticket and group seating.
  • Create and implement training initiatives to increase sales team member productivity and elevate overall sales team performance.
  • Mentor and assist the sales team with their outbound cold calling efforts and new business client meetings.
  • Lead, develop and manage sales managers and sales representatives. 
  • Work with team to create dashboards and virtual CRM reports to manage and track campaign performance and sales rep productivity.
  • Analyze historical and current ticket sales data and performance metrics to determine future calling campaigns and new lead sources for the sales team.
  • Participate in planning meetings to discuss cross departmental revenue opportunities and collaborate with other team members to support and further the sales department goals.
  • Assist in the creation and management of the ticket sales budget and business plan.
  • Proactively solicit new business by making sales calls, creating presentations, leading sales events and engaging in new client prospecting.
  • Responsible for daily revenue tracking, campaign management and the regular communication of sales team performance to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales leadership, including coaching, recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Create and implement short- and long-term sales plans and strategies.
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations and Member Services team members to provide the highest level of customer service for all season ticket holders.
  • Manage the development of proposals, collateral materials and multimedia resources.
  • Ensure the development of qualified staff members in order to produce positive working environment and appropriately skilled employees.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget goals for both revenue and operating expenses.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within a high-volume sales environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales leadership, including coaching, recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Resourceful, innovative, and collaborative, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, planning, budgeting, and deal structuring.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales and prospecting targets.
  • Experience overseeing candidate interviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Ticket Operations and Service departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Active participation in sales, team, and community events.
  • Represent the organization at networking events to foster new partnerships.
  • Engage in the game day experience to support Inter Miami CF.
  • Maintain accurate sales records in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with Archtics & Ticketmaster ticket systems preferred.
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM software.
  • Strong understanding of MLS and international soccer a plus.
  • Highly proactive, goal oriented and motivated with a positive attitude. 
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for providing great customer service.
  • Coordinate changing priorities in a dynamic, high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Extremely organized with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments/organizations over which you have no formal authority.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.
