Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Tournament Operations team with general administrative duties such as answering phones, data entry, running errands and delivering/collecting items throughout the grounds of the US Open
  • Provide excellent customer service to professional athletes, senior staff and other business partners in all interactions
  • Maintain inventory of gifting items and assist with gift assembly and distribution
  • Manage beverage inventory including placing orders and stocking coolers
  • Assist player hair salon with daily operations including towel pick-up and delivery
  • Distribution/collection of tournament issued loaner phones
  • Assist with preparations for on-court ceremonies and events as requested 
  • Other event-related tasks as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous similar experience in entertainment/sports/events is required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university preferred
  • Knowledge of tennis and important individuals/organizations involved in tennis preferred
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take and follow direction, remain calm and focused in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment and problem solve
  • Capable of lifting and carrying boxes up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion 
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Typical hours are 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily, plus ability to work overtime as needed
