Sales Representative - North Mississippi Classic (Oxford, MS)

We presently have an opportunity for a Sales Representative for the North Mississippi Classic in Oxford, MS. This position will directly contribute to the sales efforts of the tournament by generating sales for pro-am and hospitality venues, as well as branding sponsorships. The Sales Representative will report to the Executive Director to generate new business and service repeat customers as well as to handle the administrative functions associated with these sales.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Marketing or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of corporate business experience required. Prior experience in the sports industry with exposure to event management or event sales preferred. Experience in team sales or hospitality sales a plus. 
  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills to include intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint skills. This position will be responsible for a heavy volume of outbound sales calls.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required.


  • Close sales of pro-am, hospitality and branding sponsorship packages through new business leads and upselling as well as servicing existing or repeat customers
  • Meet and exceed weekly call, meeting and presentation goals
  • Constant follow-up and follow-through with prospects and current clients
  • Proactively engage clients to plan sponsorship activations and assist with incremental sales
  • Build relationships with Century Club Charities Board of Directors and charitable partners
  • Circulate and manage administration of Sales Agreements to renewal clients within the established deadlines
  • Enter all sales activity and agreements into the tournament CRM
  • Generate internal sales reports and validate the data to ensure that all sales are captured accurately
  • Monitor and track all outbound sales calls/contacts via the tournament CRM
  • Assist with the post-sale process to include: wrap-up reports, feedback/critiques, invoicing, client relations, merchandising/inventory control, etc.
  • Support tournament team during tournament week interacting with all existing partners and hosting new business prospects
  • Regularly attend various community and charitable functions as a representative of the North Mississippi Classic for lead generation
