Manager, Media Services - Brand Marketing - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for an Manager of Media Services within our Brand Marketing department. This Manager will work with the Championship Management division and the Marketing Services department of the PGA TOUR on development of local marketing plans to support hospitality and ticket sales. The Media Services team oversees the media agency relationships as well as the strategy, planning process and media plan execution for all Championship Management paid media plans. This Manager position has day-to-day responsibilities for planning, executing, tracking and reporting the local media schedules across all 16 events and is lead for communicating paid media activities to Marketing Services, Executive Directors, and the media agency teams. 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in marketing or related field)
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in media, marketing or advertising required; Specific sports marketing and media agency experience preferred
  • Must possess advanced level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills and experience with database management products; Proficiency with media planning and database reporting required
  • Experience with media research & media billing preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and lead day-to-day operations for the media planning/buying process for all 16 Championship Management events
  • Coordinate master calendar & scheduling of all local media related meetings including: Tournament Kick-Off Planning Calls, Media Presentations, Digital Optimization calls, etc.
  • Work with local media agency partners to evaluate and recommend local media plans in order to drive ticket and hospitality sales across all Championship Management events
  • Manage approval process for all local media tactics and submission of all agency estimate authorizations
  • Help facilitate & execute against any media trades (i.e. trading local hospitality assets for media)
  • Oversee delivery of all media assets to fulfill approved media plan creative assets required (local trafficking operations) in conjunction with Marketing Services teams; keep agency partners informed and manage deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Research and analyze local media plans to drive efficiencies and identify cost savings opportunities
  • Manage and report media schedules, creative allocations, and values to various TOUR constituents including: Brand Marketing, Marketing Services, Championship Management, Finance & Accounting, Corporate Marketing, etc.
  • Ensure that all title sponsor and local sponsor paid media expectations and/or obligations are met
  • Oversee all local media budget items, code and track media invoices, and reconcile all discrepancies with Finance and Accounting department

Inside Sales Representative - Championship Management - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently are searching for an Inside Sales Representative within our Championship Management Department. This commissioned position primarily sells hospitality packages for PGA TOUR sponsored events with potential to sell larger items (i.e. - Pro-Am, Sponsorship etc.) and provides direct support for tournaments to help achieve departmental revenue goals. Inside Sales Representatives participate in a sales development program structured to prepare entry level sales staff for higher level sales positions within our organization.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Associate’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6 months – 2 years prior experience in sales, sports, customer service or entertainment preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire for a career in sales
  • Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to relocate when position is complete

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and sell available hospitality, sponsorship and pro-am inventory for select tournaments on the PGA TOUR
  • Prospect and research businesses with the goal of setting appointments with decision makers
  • Assist with sales and retention efforts including servicing and upselling existing and new clients and accounts
  • Manage interactions with clients and prospects through use of CRM system including accurately documenting client information and abiding by policies and procedures
  • Professionally communicate to gather all relevant details; communicate with supervisor and provide timely follow up
  • Communicate with marketing, tournament support, community management, product management and account management to promote new campaigns, and offerings
  • Special project and other duties as assigned

Sales Manager - Ellie Mae Classic - PGA TOUR / web.com TOUR (Pleasanton, CA)

Excitement surrounding the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae is at an all-time high.  We are looking to build upon this momentum with an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our web.com division of the PGA TOUR’s Tournament team.  This is a great time to engage the local business community, build relationships with Bay Area executives, as well as interact with the Ellie Mae Board of Directors and charitable partners.  

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience required. Prior experience in sports, or entertainment a plus
  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required


Responsibilities:

  • Sell pro-am and hospitality sponsorship packages to new business prospects, as well as existing clients 
  • Meet and exceed weekly call, meeting and presentation goals
  • Provide the highest level of service through constant communication and follow through with prospects and current clients
  • Build relationships with Ellie Mae Classic Board of Directors and charitable partners
  • Circulate and manage administration of Sales Agreements to renewal clients within the established deadlines
  • Enter all sales activity and agreements into the tournament CRM
  • Generate internal sales reports and validate the data to ensure that all sales are captured accurately
  • Assist with the post-sale process to include: wrap-up reports, feedback/critiques, invoicing, client relations, merchandising/inventory control, etc.
  • Support tournament team during tournament week by interacting with all existing partners and hosting new business prospects
  • Regularly attend various community and charitable functions as a representative of the Ellie Mae Classic for lead generation
