Digital & Programmatic Media Manager - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Digital & Programmatic Media Manager-Brand Marketing in our Marketing department.  This position is responsible for the digital media planning & buying process from campaign initiation and execution to final delivery of campaign results. This position will include managing and executing the TOUR’s in-house programmatic buying for display, mobile, video, SEM and social, working with a Media Analytics Manager to make recommendations and optimizations based on campaign performance and KPI’s. This role will be critical to keeping the TOUR up to date with the latest industry trends and ad-tech trends to help drive fan growth. .

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelors degree required in Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum five years experience in digital advertising and media buying required
  • Specific performance and programmatic media buying experience required
  • Experience working with DMPs & DSPs as well as Social Media ad-buying experiences required
  • Solid understanding of digital media buying platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, GDN, DBM, and programmatic exchanges
  • Must possess advanced level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills and experience with DMPs. Proficiency with media planning and database reporting required
  • Experience with media research preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director, Media Services to oversee digital media planning & buying process from campaign initiation through final delivery of campaign metrics
  • Manage & execute the TOUR’s in-house programmatic buying for the lifecycle of media campaigns for display, video, mobile, SEM, and social to help generate fan growth for desired fan segments; This will require working weekends to support weekend tune-in campaign efforts (Social, SEM, Mobile, Display & Video); This will include working weekends approximately one out of every four events.
  • Provide digital media budget recommendations across media channels to meet TOUR fan growth objectives
  • Help develop and analyze multiple custom creative schedules for campaigns; work with Media Analytics Manager to make recommendations & optimization based on campaign performance and KPIs
  • Track digital media campaigns within TOUR’s media software system, currently MediaOcean’s Lumina product
  • Oversee and foster ad-tech relationships, including DMP solution, third party partners and digital media vendors
  • Work with Media Analytics Manager to develop campaign performance tracking dashboard – and distribute to internal team members with optimization recommendations
  • Manage digital media budgets & billing for programmatic media and other digital media related costs
  • Assess industry trends within digital & programmatic media and make recommendations to keep TOUR on the cutting edge of digital media
  • Liaise with Creative Services team for all digital media creative needs
  • Help prepare and present digital media plans & results to internal teams
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

Marketing & Media Analytics Manager - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Marketing & Media Analytics Manager-Brand Marketing in our Marketing department.  This position is responsible for marketing analytics for the Brand Marketing Department. Working with the Brand, Data Analytics, Media Teams, as well as external vendors and agency partners this position will ensure proper tracking mechanisms are in place to capture data in order to measure ad campaign effectiveness and success against fan growth goals. This will be an integral role within the Brand Team and will help shape strategic decisions for future media campaigns designed to grow the PGA TOUR fan base. .

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelors degree required in Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in media analytics, digital advertising and/or media buying required

  • Work with VP, Marketing, Media Services team and VP, Data Analytics to measure fan growth and other KPIs
  • Help implement digital tracking across house and paid digital media for campaign reporting, audience analysis and ROI
  • Work with media agency partners to ensure proper campaign tagging structure to analyze “in-house” versus “agency” media activity and effectiveness, ROI, etc.
  • Provide recommendations for expanding/optimizing use of TOUR’s media value tracking software system, currently MediaOcean’s Lumina product
  • Provide backfill for in-house programmatic buying team to support weekend tune-in campaign efforts (Social, SEM, Mobile, Display & Video); This will include working weekends approximately one out of every four events.
  • Collect and report on industry trends in marketing analytics and act as a subject matter expert for all marketing measurement issues
  • Support Manager - Local Media on analytics related to local paid media efforts to support ticket sales
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

Ticketing Marketing & Strategy Manager - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Ticket Marketing and Strategy Manager in our Ticket Operations department.  This position will work closely with PGA TOUR co-sanctioned events as a liaison in regards to ticketing operations. They will be responsible for end to end ticketing support to professionalize ticket strategy, marketing and execution for assigned co -sanctioned events. 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • 4-year college degree required in Sports Administration, Business or a related field
  • 5-7 years management experience in the computerized ticketing industry or related field
  • Archtics and Ticketmaster ticketing systems preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and track record in digital marketing including building pricing models and testing offers
  • Salesforce/Kore CRM systems preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays periodically
  • Team player with proven leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of cashier and accounting procedures

Responsibilities:

We presently are searching for a Sr Sales Manager for the THE PLAYERS Championship department. The Senior Manager is responsible for designing and implementing effective sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships for THE PLAYERS Championship, TPC Sawgrass, and across the Championship Management system.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related area required
  • Minimum of seven years of commissioned sales and event management experience, ideally in sports, event management, media or hospitality required;  Golf tournament sales experience is a plus

We presently are searching for an Inside Sales Representative within our Championship Management Department. This commissioned position primarily sells hospitality packages for PGA TOUR sponsored events with potential to sell larger items (i.e. - Pro-Am, Sponsorship etc.) and provides direct support for tournaments to help achieve departmental revenue goals. Inside Sales Representatives participate in a sales development program structured to prepare entry level sales staff for higher level sales positions within our organization.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Associate’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6 months – 2 years prior experience in sales, sports, customer service or entertainment preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire for a career in sales
  • Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to relocate when position is complete

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and sell available hospitality, sponsorship and pro-am inventory for select tournaments on the PGA TOUR
  • Prospect and research businesses with the goal of setting appointments with decision makers
  • Assist with sales and retention efforts including servicing and upselling existing and new clients and accounts
  • Manage interactions with clients and prospects through use of CRM system including accurately documenting client information and abiding by policies and procedures
  • Professionally communicate to gather all relevant details; communicate with supervisor and provide timely follow up

ABOUT THE TIGER WOODS FOUNDATION

The Tiger Woods Foundation (“TWF”) was established in 1996 as a nonprofit organization with emphasis on providing educational enrichment opportunities to underserved youth. To support our mission, TGR Live operates three PGA TOUR golf tournaments annually: the Genesis Open, The National, and the Hero World Challenge, a PGA TOUR sanctioned golf tournament featuring an exclusive 18-player field held at Albany, Bahamas in early December. 

In addition, TGR Live produces annual Signature Events including Tiger Jam, an annual spring benefit concert in Las Vegas; and the Tiger Woods Invitational, a three-day golf experience on the Monterey Peninsula.

POSITION OVERVIEW

TGR Live is seeking a motivated Sales Manager to generate revenue for the Genesis Open golf tournament annually held at The Riviera Country Club in February. This position requires a self-starter with at least four years of sports hospitality or sponsorship sales (golf related preferred but not required). The Sales Manager will be charged with generating revenue by sourcing and closing new business and renewal sponsorship opportunities. 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aggressively solicit local marketplace with all sales opportunities including Hospitality, Pro-Am, Sponsorships, and Premium Ticket packages at the Genesis Open
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets
  • Prospect, cold call, generate leads, develop relationships, understand customer needs
  • Present hospitality, sponsorship and ticket package options to prospective companies
  • Manage day-to-day sales activity and provide updates on leads, sales and other pertinent information relating to personal sales through a weekly hospitality sales report and daily CRM
  • Review the status of sales with respect to budget; Provide current reports and recommendations to meet established sales goals and objectives
  • Post event follow through (i.e., financial reconciliation, patron thank you letters and feedback, performance reviews and event recap and renewal)
  • Support TGR Live in cultivating the Southern California market for other TGR Live tournaments/events 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: B.S., B.A. degree from a 4-year accredited institution

Experience:           

  • Sports background with event management or team sponsorship or hospitality sales preferred
  • Proven track record of uncovering new business
  • Well-established contacts in small-medium Southern California business community
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • CRM activity based sales, management and protocols (Salesforce preferred) 

Skills:

  • Proven ability to source, secure and close sales
  • Ability to generate revenue in a goal-oriented manner
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and the ability to carry out multiple tasks concurrently
  • Maintain highest level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Work in demanding, fast-paced environment with continuously changing priorities and irregular/long work hours
  • Strong communications, presentation and interpersonal skills both with internal and external stakeholders
