We presently have an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Associate in our Marketing Services department.  The Marketing Associate will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for Championship Management events. 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing, business or related field required
  • Minimum one year entry-level marketing experience
  • Intermediate level Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) skills required; experience with graphics, video editing for social media optimization preferred
  • Working knowledge of social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter
  • Understanding of HTML / HTML 5 preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organization, analytical and planning skills

Responsibilities: 

  • Will work across digital media and creative, drawing connections between the brand identity and marketing objectives to inform differentiated and effective new media programs that engage customers, increase awareness and spark conversation
  • Video editing for social media optimization
  • Remain up to date of all tournament activities and promotions to provide backup as needed
  • Assist supervisors to update system-wide best practices (toolkit) as needed and development of tournament collateral needs
  • Organize and maintain updated files of final/archived projects and related documentation/approval
  • Assist with website and social media audits as requested
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external departments
  • The role will occasionally require extended and weekend hours during tournament weeks

We presently have an opportunity for a Sales Manager of the Bridgestone Invitational in our Akron, OH tournament office. The Sales Manager is responsible for designing and implementing effective sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships in the Akron, OH area for the Bridgestone Invitational and other Championship Management events (National Sales) through tournament activation platforms.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Minimum of five years of commissioned sales and event management experience, ideally in sports, event management, media or hospitality required; Golf tournament & Akron, OH area sales experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related area required

We presently have an opportunity for a Content Analyst within the Digital Department.  The Digital Content Analyst measures, analyzes and reports content performance and audience engagement on PGA TOUR’s digital platforms. The Digital Content Analyst will further enhance the Digital Content Team’s data-informed decision-making strategy by measuring content performance, conducting analysis and assisting with data-driven projects and research. This position will play a key role in reporting performance measurements to a wide range of PGA TOUR teams and departments, organizing large amounts of content and audience data, and assisting with day-to-day management of data and analytical tools.   

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or Math preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quantitative or analytical role.
  • Background in web analytics and database management is required
  • Experience in a media organization or sports organization preferred. Background in golf or golf interest is preferred
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms and the current landscape is required
  • Strong communication and organization skills required 

Responsibilities:

  • Measure performance and results of content activations and initiatives, and develop reporting documents and dashboards for content and audience related information that is shared with the Content Team and other departments
  • Access and organize content data using database storage networks, reporting/measurement tools, social media platforms, etc.

We presently have an opportunity for an Event Planning Coordinator with our Golf Course Properties department. This position serves as support for the Manager - Business Development Golf Course Properties and assist with planning and execution of events and asset utilization for Golf Course Properties (GCP) relationships including TPCs, Sponsors and TOUR Marketing Partners.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality or related field required
  • Minimum two years marketing experience, administrative support and client/customer service experience and thorough knowledge of general business procedures and client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentation design
  • High level of proficiency in website and e-marketing content management is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of event planning and management including but not limited to proposals, contracts and on-site needs such as food & beverage, entertainment, photographers, and transportation and other event needs required. Resolve any logistical issues that arise with professionalism and prompt response on a timely basis.
  • Close out events with supporting documentation, formal billing summary and communicate with client on any overages. Forward billing information to Accounting within the designated time frames.
  • Ability to execute large scale golf event series from contracting phase to completion with details to include overseeing accounting accuracy, promotion through internal media channels, working with creative team on collateral, and fielding customer questions, just to name a few.
  • Update pipeline with leads/contracts and revenue and cost of goods sold estimates and actuals on a weekly basis and prepare for weekly review with manager/team through the use of Salesforce event module.
  • Maintain and establish internal relationships with TPC Network, PGA TOUR, Corporate Partners, LLC companies and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism to Partners' requests.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.

This commissioned position primarily sells hospitality packages for PGA TOUR sponsored events with potential to sell larger items (i.e. - Pro-Am, Sponsorship etc.) and provides direct support for tournaments to help achieve departmental revenue goals. Inside Sales Representatives participate in a sales development program structured to prepare entry level sales staff for higher level sales positions within our organization.


Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Associate’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6 months – 2 years prior experience in sales, sports, customer service or entertainment preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire for a career in sales
  • Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to relocate when position is complete

Pro Links Sports is seeking a highly qualified applicant in the area of sports sponsorship activation at the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship, Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort, Tampa, Florida.

The Valspar Championship is an official professional golf tournament on the PGA TOUR.  Played at Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort in Palm Harbor FL, the event is part of the season-long FedExCup and features 144 of the top players worldwide.  The event attracts over 100,000 fans during tournament week from over 45 states and 9 Canadian provinces; and is broadcast to over 227 countries via the Golf Channel and NBC Sports.  The event is operated by Copperhead Charities (The Copperheads) and Pro Links Sports, and has generated over $38 million for local charities since 1977 with the help of hundreds of sponsors and over 2,000 volunteers.  Title sponsor is Valspar Paint.  www.valsparchampionship.com

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Sponsorship Activation and Pro-Am Manager

The candidate will work with over 150 sponsors to execute and fulfill all the deliverables in their tournament sponsorship agreements.  This will include all tracking, delivery, execution, and maintenance to meet and exceed client expectations.  Candidate will also be responsible for sales and renewal of over 10 sponsors along with management of all tournament pro-ams and special events.

Must be an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, can work without supervision and meet deadlines, and has to be proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM programs.

Candidate will report directly to the Tournament Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Presents ideas and opportunities to help grow tournament partnerships by keeping current with goals, objectives and the competitive corporate landscape in the market;

Liaise with other teams on sponsored programs which include, but are not limited to sales, marketing, Copperheads, community relations, ticketing, finance, operations, and volunteers;

Contributes to any efforts, thoughts or actions used to boost overall revenue for the organization;

Monitors the competitive marketplace, including local and national sports and entertainment properties;

Production of sponsorship contracts and inventory tracking within SalesForce CRM system;

Weekly reporting to tournament teams and monthly to PGA TOUR on sales to-date related to goals;

Works with finance to ensure timely invoicing and collections;

Tracking of all tournament sponsorship deliverables and working with printers, sign vendor, caterer, operations and other vendors to ensure all deliverables are implemented;

Complete management of all tournament pro-ams including amateur communications, pro-am database, registration, and gift selection/distribution;

Production of post-tournament recap reports, sponsorship gifts, and pro-am and sponsorship surveys;

Management of special events including sponsor summit, charity breakfast, and various sponsor golf outings;

Management of corporate hospitality volunteer and transportation committees and other committees as assigned;

Negotiation and management of tournament hotel partnerships;

Recruitment and management of summer, fall and winter college interns;

Collaborates and partners with internal and external stakeholders; 

Other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated success in working in a team environment with the ability to interact and discern and implement the objectives of multiple stakeholders;

Thorough understanding of the ‘world of sports business’ including a passion for the game of golf;

Must reside or relocate to the Tampa, Florida area;

Understanding and proficiency with marketing data analytics programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in sports marketing, sponsorship or management

3-5 years of experience in either marketing, partnership marketing, sponsorship, corporate sales
