Communications/Community Relations: Head of Web/Media Content
Producer - Digital Content - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Producer within the Digital Content Department.  The Producer works closely with other members of the digital Content Team to plan and develop compelling stories for use across PGA TOUR websites and social media platforms. As a digital storyteller, the Producer is responsible for building content that will generate audience interaction across platforms.  

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Journalism or Communications preferred
  • 2-7 years’ experience in creating content for use on websites and social media platforms
  • Experience in editing and/or content management role with a digital publisher is preferred
  • Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required
  • Strong writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling
  • Strong knowledge of the social web including content creation, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
  • Design/photo/video editing skills are a plus

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop, edit and program content for use on PGA TOUR websites and across social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Maintain websites and arenas, including checking of links and updating content as needed
  • Work with Content Team members to create unique packages as events develop
  • Coordinate with on-site writers and other resources to deliver compelling content across platforms
  • Adhere to PGA TOUR brand standards and established voice across platforms
  • Work collaboratively with other content creators; take part in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions
  • Utilize available data to make or adjust programming decisions across platforms
  • Communicate effectively across the Content Team throughout shift rotations
  • Execute content on behalf of marketing and/or sales initiatives
  • Available to travel for content creation opportunities as needed
  • Available during competition hours, which may include evenings and weekends
  • Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame
  • Additional projects as assigned, which may include dedicated time to a special project including but not limited to Stats, FedExCup arena, and Fantasy

Coordinator - Communications - PGA TOUR (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Coordinator within the Communications Department. This position will support the PR and Media Relations tasks for the PGA TOUR’s Championship Management events, as assigned, under the direction of the Senior Director of Communications, PGA TOUR.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism
  • Minimum two years of experience preferred
  • Prior experience in Golf Tournament or Sports Event Communications preferred
  • Ability to be self-motivated while juggling several ongoing projects and still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work off hours
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively within and across diverse groups
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office Software applications
  • A professional image and ability to work as a team is essential
  • Proficient writing and editing skills
  • Experience in social media applications

Responsibilities:

  • Write and manage approval process/distribution of press releases across all Championship Management events
  • Produce/edit content for tournament programs, fact sheets, tournament media guides, pre-tournament notes
  • Manage media database development and maintenance
  • Track PR “wins” for each event and develop recap presentations for executive team, board materials, etc.
  • Support planning and logistics for media announcements
  • Assist social/digital teams in content creation as needed
  • Provide statistics and research to media as needed
  • Participate in Catalyst Program (ownership of 10 TOUR players; tasked with pitching and promoting those players beyond sports)
  • Backfill as “account support” for several tournaments
  • Assist tournament account leads with the following duties
    • Development and implementation of PR timeline;
    • PR liaison with title sponsor’s PR counterpart;
    • Day-to-day relationship building/maintenance with local media;
    • Development and approvals of all written materials (press releases, tournament program, etc.);
    • Press release distribution and follow up;
    • Recaps/summaries of PR activities;
    • Credentialing process;
  • Potential for travel to tournaments for on-site media relations/activities as needed
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

Video Editor - PGA TOUR Entertainment - PGA TOUR Entertainment (St Augustine, FL)

We presently have an opportunity for a Video Editor for the PGA TOUR Entertainment department. PGA TOUR Entertainment serves as the full-service television production arm of the PGA TOUR. We produce national commercials, Inside the PGA TOUR, documentary style programming for network partners (NBC and CBS) and marketing videos for the PGA TOUR.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years Commercial and/or Cable or Broadcast network promo editing experience; Documentary experience a plus
  • Good storytelling skills, music and visual design sensibility is required
  • Client friendliness and the ability to maintain calmness and productivity under deadline pressure are all a must
  • Must be able to take direction, collaborate with others, and be productive when working independently
  • Highly skilled with Avid Media Composer (Willing to train qualified Adobe Premiere editor)
  • Highly skilled with Adobe CC After Effects, Photoshop, AI
  • Thorough working knowledge of Davinci Resolve
  • Knowledge of file based High Res Camera workflows (Red, Arri, Sony 4K)

Responsibilities:

  • Create promotional spots for PGA TOUR brand initiatives and PGA TOUR Entertainment internal and external clients
  • Move promotional material from concept to finished color. Edit, graphic creation and/or composite, rotoscope, sky replace, final color
  • Edit supervised and unsupervised sessions as directed by daily schedule
  • Responsible for proficient operation of all equipment in edit rooms. Including Avid Media Composer, Adobe CC, and Davinci Resolve
  • Maintain proficiency with VIZRT media asset management system for archiving all material that is produced

 ORGANIZATION:

At the Tiger Woods Foundation, we empower students to exceed any, and all expectations. The Foundation benefits from several signature events throughout the course of the year that raise millions of dollars for our college-access programs: the TGR Learning Labs, the Earl Woods Scholar Program, TGR EDU: Explore and TGR EDU: Create. Events run by TGR Live include three PGA TOUR golf tournaments: the Genesis Open in Los Angeles, CA, the Quicken Loans National in Washington, DC, and the Hero World Challenge in Albany, Bahamas. In addition, TGR Live hosts the Tiger Jam in Las Vegas and the Tiger Woods Invitational in Pebble Beach.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Manager will primarily manage the foundation’s website and digital strategy, focusing on the ability to develop and implement a strategic, tactical plan across a broad digital landscape. The successful candidate will bring a strategic approach to digital media along with strong measurement and analytical skills.

This role will be responsible for advancing the digital marketing capabilities and brand perception for charitable donations and event ticket sales growth across interactive mediums. This includes managing the organization’s website and providing strategic input to staff to develop and optimize multichannel marketing assets, including email marketing and social media outlets. The successful candidate requires excellent analytical and communication skills to keep senior management fully informed of campaign activity, challenges and opportunities. The person in this role must understand the broader cultural and creative shifts taking place on digital channels and how to leverage the trends to achieve foundation and tournament business objectives. The Digital Marketing Manager must work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary internal teams displaying proven ability to control timelines and budgets, anticipate and address issues, and work towards solutions to complex problems.

  • Day-to-day website management to include improving the usability/design, making content updates/changes and improving conversion rates across all TGR Ventures websites. 
  • Ongoing SEO evaluation, analysis and recommendation for the TGR Ventures websites.  Conduct SEO audits, documenting baselines, benchmarks, changes and suggesting action steps as needed.
  • In depth knowledge of Google Analytics with the ability to create reports for specific marketing campaigns while tracking monthly KPI’s.
  • Oversee scheduling and deployment of email marketing campaigns using third party software GetResponse.  Oversee company database, lead generation tactics, and suggest new marketing automation techniques for future campaigns.
  • Advise on the development of content plans that align with business goals for paid digital marketing campaigns resulting in an engaging, impactful and measurable user experience
  • Create landing pages for targeted lead generation and user-generated marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze and report key performance indicators for all digital marketing campaigns as needed under the direction of management.
  • Assist marketing department in posting organic content to social media platforms as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for audience development and growth on social media and other digital platforms.
  • Review and recommend new technologies to keep the company at the forefront of development in digital marketing, website management, social media marketing and email marketing.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:   Undergraduate degree in Marketing, computer science, IT

Experience:  3 - 5 years of digital marketing/website management experience in multichannel content creation, management and analytics; proven results in data-driven marketing to consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to develop insights and recommendations from data
  • MUST have advanced understanding of Wordpress content management system.  HTML and coding experience a plus.
  • Understanding of current digital marketing industry trends/best practices and digital formats (Email, mobile, social, SEO/SEM)
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other web analysis tools
  • Experience in building and tracking advanced paid digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with consumer marketing engagement tools such as Get Response or similar email, marketing automation software systems
  • Experience in an analytically focused consumer-based email marketing role
  • Self-starter bringing organizational excellence, a positive attitude and a great communication skills to a multi-dimensional, entrepreneurial non-profit organization
  • Problem-solver who will support department and company goals
  • Ability to be flexible yet effective within a fluid environment
  • Solid time and project management skills to handle a variety of concurrent projects and deadlines with professionalism
