THE ROLE

Overlay Technical Manager is a key role with a primary responsibility for assisting and executing Overlay Design & Build logistics and operations plans for On Location’s hospitality programs for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This role will work closely with Paris 2024 teams to deliver innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions across all hospitality venues, responsible for the planning and delivery of Overlay requirements such as temporary structures, power, HVAC and Wi-Fi, Design requirements such as space use planning, furniture and décor, and look and feel and Build requirements such as hospitality desks and bars, temporary walling and infrastructure needs across all hospitality venues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as part of the Event Production team to assist and deliver an overall Overlay Design & Build vision within On Location’s in venue and off venue hospitality locations
  • Assist Overlay Design & Build requirements for all venues and assit the Director of Overlay Design & Build to deliver all elements of the hospitality program with a focus on implementing the utilities requirements by the suppliers.
  • Assist and manage all Overlay Design & Build suppliers where required including the implementation of project plans, installation guidelines and operational delivery plans ensuring supplier compliance 
  • Prepare and manage all Overlay Design & Build documentation, including maps and drawings, set up and de rig requirements as well required health and safety documentation and license/permit requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other functional area teams, for instance Catering, Technical and Entertainment & Experiential, to deliver a first-class hospitality experience
  • Gather, track and report on KPIs related to Paris 2024 sustainability commitments for the Games
