VENUE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Syracuse Athletics and Legends announced a 10-year partnership that will integrate data and analytics, marketing, ‘Cuse Athletics Fund annual giving, premium seating, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach. Legends will support the ‘Cuse Athletics Fund annual fundraising program. Legends’ unique fundraising platform, an essential service embraced by higher education, identifies effective fan and donor engagement strategies to amplify philanthropic giving and other opportunities. The partnership will also ensure that the Orange build upon their legacy of supporting student-athletes in the classroom and on the playing fields. Legends will also team with Syracuse University’s Falk College of Sport & Human Dynamics to provide education, mentorship, and career opportunities to students.

THE ROLE   

This opportunity is open for candidates who can work on-site at the Syracuse Athletics offices from May 2024 – July 2024, with potential extension into the Fall 2024 semester. Hours range from 15-25 hours per week.  The Intern will be focused on marketing graphics and is principally responsible for assisting our Graphic Designer and Manger of Content and Strategy with conceptualizing and designing creative assets to support Syracuse Athletics’ sales, marketing, and philanthropic efforts. Examples include: sales collateral, email graphics, social media graphics, digital ads, social ads, billboard ads, print ads and more. Experience with video editing and motion graphics is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with the creation and editing of graphics, videos, and other media assets for assigned marketing projects.
  • Manage content calendar and digital marketing traffic sheets.
  • Assist with managing weekly tasks within the team.
  • Organize and log content on the server as needed.
  • Able to create content that follows Syracuse Athletics brand guidelines.
  • Develop specific marketing copy for email, social, radio, and TV campaigns.
  • Identify and aggregate existing Syracuse Athletics content to leverage in marketing campaigns.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed to gather photos and videos at Syracuse Athletic events, including gamedays and special events as credentialed personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty below at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Has a degree or is pursuing a degree in a major/program similar to the following: Multimedia, Digital Media, Sports Marketing, Broadcast Journalism, Videography/Photography, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop is required. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Acrobat is a plus. Experience with photography and videography is a big plus.
  • Experience handling creative projects from concept to completion.
  • An ability to deliver exceptional work by set weekly deadlines.
  • An interest in marketing for collegiate sports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • An ability to receive and implement feedback from several stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work on-site at the Syracuse Athletics offices.
