Information Technology Part-Time Assistant - Chicago Fire Soccer Club (Bridgeview, IL)

The Information Technology assistant will report directly to the Information Technology Manager.  This position is responsible for assisting with the daily upkeep of the Chicago Fire/Toyota Park data and telecom networks with a specific focus on providing support to the venue on event days.  The Information Technology Assistant will also be charged with setting up and maintaining computer hardware and software.  Listed below are the responsibilities and qualifications expected of this position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up telecom and data connections for Chicago Fire

  • Assist with troubleshooting server, network, desktop hardware, printer and software issues

  • Assist with event execution; responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Pre-event set-up (technology needs, broadcast  and internet connections, etc.

    • Post-event tear-down and cleanup

    • Audio/Visual assistance

    • Assist with technology needs and issues during the event

  • Assist with setting up workstation and telecom needs for all employees

  • Assist with the completion of projects supporting the execution plan of the IT Department

  • Implement facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Handle additional administrative duties related to the IT Department as assigned by the IT Manager to include such items as research and development of new IT initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision; must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively work with a large and diverse population.

  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.

  • Must be able to operate under extreme deadlines.

  • Must be able to work 25 - 30 hours per week.

  • Must be willing to work long hours, irregular schedules and weekends.

  • Must work all home Chicago Fire games

  • Must have knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Windows OS and office

  • Knowledge of MAC OS and server platforms is a plus

  • May be asked occasionally to travel to remote Chicago office

  • Hourly Rate: $12 per hour

Video Coordinator - Orlando City Soccer Club (Orlando, FL)

Background: After winning three USL-Pro regular season championships and two postseason titles over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs both on and off the field and was awarded the 21st Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise on Nov. 19, 2013. The Lions played their first two seasons in MLS at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, where they held the second-highest average attendance in MLS. In 2016, the Club launched Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and Orlando City B in the United Soccer League (USL).

In March 2017, Orlando City SC unveiled its brand new, privately financed downtown stadium. With a capacity of 25,500 fans, Orlando City Stadium creates the most exciting game-day experience for fans in the country.

Position Summary: Orlando City SC is seeking a Video Coordinator who will be responsible for content creation for digital, broadcast, social, and in-venue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shoot video & edit content for features, highlight videos and future use.
  • Write, produce and edit original video content for games, events, etc.
  • Maintain video archive.
  • Work closely with other departments (marketing, sponsorship, communications, etc.) to fulfill video needs.
  • Set up and execute live streaming content for press conferences or special events.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.*
  • Experience with a professional sports team is a plus.
  • Shooting experience with DSLR and Cinema-style cameras is a plus.
  • Lighting and set design is a plus.
  • Foreign language skills a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of non-linear editing (Adobe Premier preferred).
  • Advanced use of Adobe After Effects and knowledge of 3D programs is a plus.
  • Graphic design skills required (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment is required.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Knowledge of soccer and entertainment elements is a plus.
  • Experience working with content management systems preferred.

Coordinator of Video Production - Seattle Sounders FC (Seattle, WA)

Job Title:             Coordinator of Video Production

Department:       Digital Media

Reports to:         Video Production Manager             


Seattle Sounders FC is seeking a multi-talented videographer who enjoys variety in his or her editing work, can manage multiple priorities, and shoot and edit video for various channels. The Coordinator of Video Production will serve as an internal videographer capturing and editing footage for all things Sounders FC – including, but not limited to, matchday, digital and social, broadcast, in-game presentation, corporate partners, community, ticket sales and more. This individual must be a self-starter with an understanding of the professional sports landscape and type of content it requires. He/she will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and must be comfortable taking video briefs from start to finish, soliciting feedback and managing expectations during the creative process.  In addition, this person will contribute to larger video concept ideas for content across multiple channels and other duties as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Senior Director of Marketing & Digital.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

·        Produce, shoot and edit video content for various club departments as well as external stakeholders

·        Shoot match footage at all home and select away matches for all Sounders FC teams, including the first team, USL team (Seattle Sounders FC 2) and club academy

·        Cover training sessions for all teams, including practice and post-training interviews

·        Periodically travel with club for away matches, preseason camps and events

·        Fulfill internal corporate partnership, ticket sales and community video requests with a focus on creating video content that helps achieve the business goals of the club

·        Upload and publish videos to club’s content management system

·        Assist in video production for and management of club’s social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)

·        Manage internal video archives including broadcast melts and match footage

·        Set-up lighting and sound for interviews/studio shoots

·        Create motion graphics to enhance video features

·        Collaborate with Digital, Broadcast, Marketing and PR departments for content creation

·        Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule with both regular business hours and evening/weekends for matchday and events

·        Assist with content marketing idea generation to extend the club’s brand, increase consumption metrics and grow the fan base

Matchday Respsonsibilities

·        This role is expected to work all Sounders FC matches, with some travel required throughout the course of the season

·        Lead execution of team and match filming before, during and after the match as assigned 

·        Matchday oversight of video uploading and file management

·        Ensure quality control of all video assets submitted for Sounders FC and partner use

·        Ability to cut time-sensitive material as needed

·        Assist with creative strategy for videos on social, website and in-stadium

This position functions primarily at the Sounders FC office in Seattle, WA. Employee will be required to drive to off-site meetings and other functions. Must have reliable means of transportation. Facility Engineer - Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, KS)


Sporting Kansas City’s Facility Engineer maintains the mechanical operation of all company buildings, as well as the general upkeep of the structure.  The Facility Engineer is responsible for maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, aesthetics and cosmetics.


  • Responsible for the mechanical operation of all buildings, including the corporate office, Children’s Mercy Park and Swope Soccer Village.
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide technical and fiscal opinions and expertise in evaluating building maintenance issues and repairs, as well as collaborate with the Senior Building Engineer on cost estimates and work order resolution.
  • Assist with drywall, as well as paint and help with all building additions.
  • Maintain building integrity and cosmetic appearance, as well as assist in choices regarding cosmetic appearance.
  • Responsible for all plumbing by repairing broken copper lines and ensuring proper pressures.
  • Troubleshoot any electrical problems.
  • Ensure that all buildings are up to city codes and safety levels.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance of all HVAC equipment, lighting, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting.
  • Maintain logs of all equipment repairs and warranties.
  • Perform repairs to equipment, as necessary.
  • Conduct inventory, as well as monitor and inspect equipment as needed.
  • Ensure that all associates follow standard safety precautions, and respond to any building-related safety concerns.
  • Respond to all building related safety concerns.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

  • Close all windows, doors and general areas when guests have left.
  • Shut off water and power where it is not needed after a game.
  • Stay on the radio to ensure nothing additional has been damaged or is having mechanical issues.
