Job Summary:

The Sr. Accountant will oversee the day-to-day operations in Financial Accounting for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club and various affiliate companies. This includes managing tasks to produce timely periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records and reconciliations of the company's reported financial results, balance sheets, and ensuring that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Our colleague will be responsible for financial close, accounts payable and other office duties for all locations of Craft Culinary Concepts. The candidate will need to play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence, act as ambassador and liaison for club departments, clients, and vendors while advancing a culture of excellence and a positive, passionate, and creative work environment.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Senior Accountant will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following: 

  • Acting backup for Insignia's Sr. Accountant
  • Prepare and post journal entries for Craft Culinary and Insignia Family of companies
  • Recurring, Inventory, Game Day, Reclassification, G&A Allocation, Etc.
  • Prepare and post entries to complete bank reconciliations for Craft Culinary and Insignia Companies
  • Assist Controller in preparing monthly commission statements for all Craft Culinary Companies
  • Reconcile Craft Culinary and Insignia Balance Sheet accounts
  • Prepare and post Payroll Entries from iSolved to GP Dynamics
  • Reconcile Intercompany accounts for Craft Culinary and Insignia Companies
  • Add new GL Accounts as necessary to Craft Culinary Companies
  • Compile ad hoc daily/weekly/monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Assist in annual revenue and financial audits
  • Maintain documentation of detailed desk procedures
  • Streamline and automate month end closing processes for Craft Culinary Companies and Insignia
  • Initiate Wires
  • Accounting Special Projects
  • Assist the CFO and Controller with "as needed" projects, including generation of ad hoc reports and requests, and assist as needed on special reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience), CPA or MBA preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
  • Must have a strong concept of general accounting processes and practices
  • Proficient in Excel, Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics), and Excel Interfacing Software
  • Experience with Concur preferred
  • Experience streamlining and automating accounting processes
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting a healthy culture within an organization to include collaboration across teams and departments
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities that require strong project management, decision-making capabilities, and flexibility
