JOB SUMMARY
The XPression Programmer is a key member of the Phillies Productions department. This full-time position will be responsible for animating and programming the main scoreboard and all auxiliary boards for Phillies games and special events at Citizens Bank Park.  The position will report to the Manager, Electronic Display Systems. 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the Phillies’ Production team on the creation and programming of XPression graphics and animations for Phillies games and special events.
  • Program and design XPression Studio and XPression Tessera systems at Citizens Bank Park.
  • Work closely with Graphic’s team to implement file management structures.
  • Provide feedback to the Graphic’s team to ensure the functionality of all graphics content. 
  • Create Customized Dashboard systems for all operators.
  • Perform quality control checks for all content within the display control environment (e.g., switcher triggers, dashboard triggers, DataLinq parsing, etc.)
  • Work with multiple data sources to populate and display (game and advanced stats). 
  • Maximize system capabilities by implementing new workflows as technology advances. 
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.
 
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced knowledge in Ross XPression, Dashboard design and programming is required. 
  • Experience in XPression Tessera distributed environments preferred.
  • 3+ years in motion graphics design, animation, and/or programming.
  • Knowledge of motion design and animation platforms (After Effects, Cinema 4D).
  • Ability to self-manage and organize project workloads.
  • Knowledge of Brushback required. 
  • Knowledge of live production and video control room technology a plus. 
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (pre-ES5) is a plus.
  • Must be highly collaborative. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Bachelor's degree or a technical degree, in the field of video production or a related area required. 
  • Flexible in working hours including nights, weekends and holidays. 
  • Must have a portfolio or demo reel available upon request.
