The Evansville Otters have full-time paid internships available for the 2024 season. The internship positions are summer positions that start April 1st and run through the conclusion of the season (end of August or early September).
The Evansville Otters play in the 16-team independent Frontier League as our league’s senior member. Playing at Historic Bosse Field, interns have a chance to operate in one of America’s last remaining true baseball cathedrals.
Built in 1915, Bosse Field has been home to many teams and has seen 99 MLB Hall of Famers take the field. Bosse Field is one of three stadiums used in the filming of “A League of Their Own”. If you are looking to get that foot in the door of sports, there is no better place to start than with the Evansville Otters!
Responsibilities:
- Manage preparation for all picnic areas
- Manage gameday staff in picnic areas
- Communicate with group leaders to ensure fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Assist Sales Staff in preparing and executing all group events
- Communicate with Director of Food and Beverage for food preparation for all group events
- Assist in inventory controls in picnic areas
- Assist in stocking picnic areas for all games and events
- Represent the organization at community events
- Work all Otters home games and stadium events
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to think on one’s feet as well as work with a wide variety of personalities.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Internship runs from April – September.
