Who You Are
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs+
  • Landscaping experience is preferred
  • Comfortability operating machinery and using tools
  • Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
  • Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
  • Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
  • Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periods
  • Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
 
Salary: $17 per hour; overtime eligible
$35 daily meal allowance (via credential)

The Role
  • Follow safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Interact with internal and external customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Maintain all tennis courts, grounds, and landscaping
  • Install windscreens and various court equipment throughout site
  • Maintain diverse planting of trees, shrubs and flowers on and around the US Open grounds
  • Maintain proper use, storage, and placement of equipment
  • Water and monitor the irrigation of plantings
  • Perform seasonal landscape work such as pruning, clean-up, and leaf removal
  • Clean up litter of planting beds
  • Check grounds daily to ensure they are kept neat and clean as per USTA standards
  • Properly stock and store equipment such as nettings, center straps, and benches
  • Aid in preparation of facility for US Open
