 Position Summary:
The PD Analytics Fellow supports Player Development through evidenced-based analysis, technological fluency, statistical report writing, and organizational diligence. Successful candidates will have Spanish language fluency, a passion for baseball, a demonstrated high effort level, strong listening and communication ability, and a foundational understanding of statistics and research. Excellent candidates will have coding/development (SQL, R, Tableau, Python, etc.) ability in at least one language/program and prior playing and/or work experience in baseball or collegiate softball.

This position is located at the Marlins DR facility. 

Essential Functions: 
• Provide support to affiliate coaches and video managers as the analytics subject matter expert. 
• Compile and distribute Advance reports as relevant to the affiliate level. 
• Develop two-way communication flows between affiliate-level personnel and the Miami-based R&D staff.    • Write analytics-based research and reports for dissemination to Baseball Operations leadership, relevant coaching staffs, and the R&D staff. 
• Research and communicate ideas and questions posed by players and coaches, and posed by analysts and executives. 
• Develop data visualizations and tools to assist coaches in communicating analytics ideas to players and fellow coaches. 
• Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technology and research, both public and internal. 
• Assist with the implementation, research, and troubleshooting of non-video PD technology. 
• Ask thoughtful questions. Give compelling answers. Admit when unaware or uncertain.
